PASTURES POLICIES
General
- Riding
and handling of horses at PMP is done at your own risk.
- If
you bring guest(s) to watch or ride, you are responsible for ensuring he/she
understands and follows all of PMP policies. PMP recommends that all
individuals who are visiting the ranch wear covered shoes. PMP is not
responsible for injury to any visitor.
- Drive
slowly when entering or leaving the property. The speed limit is 5 MPH.
- Parking
is in designated areas only. There is no parking in or around stall area.
- If
you plan to be off the premises and leave your vehicle at PMP, for more than 8
hours, please contact manager.
- PMP
is not responsible for damage done to a vehicle while parked on the premises.
- NO
SMOKING ALLOWED IN STALL AREA OR OUT IN THE PASTURES.
- NO
ILLEGAL DRUGS, OR CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ARE ALLOWED ON PMP PREMISES.
- No
dogs allowed on the weekends, only dogs belonging to ranch boarder are allowed
on premises.
- Do
not allow horse(s) to exit the pasture or stall area, without being haltered.
- Guests
unaccompanied by a boarder, must sign a Release of Liability form before
entering pasture, and/or retrieving a horse to ride.
- Do
not climb on gates or fences. Gates are to be kept closed at all times, if you
see a gate open close it.
- Training
and lessons are given only by individuals authorized by PMP.
- All
riders under 18 must wear proper equipment while riding at all times.
- Pick
up all manure and left over hay left by your horse and to be place in wheel
barrels located around the ranch.
- Always
clean feeding pens after each use.
- Limit
washing horse to a minimum. No washing mud off blankets, boots or trailers.
Hours
- The
ranch is open from dawn to dusk (7) days a week.
- The
last person leaving the ranch must close and secure the gate.
Handling Horses
- Maintain
control of your horse with a halter and lead or bridle at all times when
outside of the stall, paddock or pasture.
- Never
tie your horse(s) to bars of stalls or to any gates. Tie your horse(s) only in
places provided for such purposes.
- Do
not run your horse in parking lot or on ranch roads.
- Do
not leave your horse unattended at any time unless secured in a feed pen or
stall.
- Never
leave horse in round pen or arena unattended.
